When emergencies become critical, basic CPR training isn’t always enough. The HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course equips you with the specialised skills, knowledge, and confidence to manage life-threatening situations using advanced equipment and techniques.

This nationally recognised advanced resuscitation course is designed for those who need to go beyond basic first aid. It’s ideal for workplaces, community responders, and anyone expected to manage high-risk scenarios.

The course covers advanced methods for responding to respiratory and cardiac emergencies, preparing you to act quickly and effectively when every second counts. You’ll learn how to:

  • Provide advanced CPR and manage airway emergencies, including suctioning techniques and using the oropharyngeal airways (OPA).
  • Operate oxygen therapy equipment, including bag-valve-mask devices and oxygen cylinders, ensuring correct flow rates and safe handling to meet compliance standards.
  • Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), troubleshoot common errors and understand when defibrillation may not be advised.
  • Monitor vital signs and assess casualty needs in real time, learning to recognise deterioration early and adapt your response appropriately.
  • Maintain and service resuscitation and oxygen equipment so it’s ready to use in emergencies and meets safety regulations.
  • Safely hand over patients to emergency medical professionals.

These skills build on the foundation of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and are especially valuable for industries where staff may face critical emergencies.
If you’re a beginner to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, our standard CPR training is a great place to start before advancing to the HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy.

Why Choose This Advanced Resuscitation Course?

  • A nationally recognised training through Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909, meeting professional compliance standards.
  • Gain practical skills for immediate application, suitable for community responders, educators, and workplace safety officers.
  • Same-day certificates are available on weekday courses with completion of pre-course learning.
  • Stay workplace-ready, learn how to coordinate with emergency services, and maintain equipment to compliance standards.

The HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course can be taken on its own or as part of a broader safety plan. Many participants choose to combine this program with HLTAID013 Provide First Aid in Remote or Isolated Site for end-to-end workplace safety, particularly in higher-risk or isolated settings.

For individuals in or going into first responder roles, the HLTSS00068 Occupational First Aid Skill Set offers training for real-life scenarios.

COURSE CONTENT
