IS HLTAID011 THE SAME AS HLTAID003?

HLTAID011 is the current code for the Provide First Aid unit of competency. HLTAID003 Provide First Aid has been discontinued. While the core content remains similar, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid includes updated first aid procedures and emergency scenarios aligned with the latest industry guidelines.
If you’re renewing your first aid certification, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the most current and recognised unit of competency.

DOES HLTAID011 INCLUDE CPR?

Absolutely! The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course includes HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). You’ll receive hands-on CPR training and assessment, ensuring you’re equipped with lifesaving skills.

Your Statement of Attainment will include both HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, so there’s no need to book a separate CPR course for your annual CPR refresher.

HOW MUCH DOES A FIRST AID COURSE COST?

The cost of a first aid course varies depending on the provider, location, and learning format. In Brisbane, you can expect to pay between $100 and $180. At My First Aid Course, we offer affordable first aid training, with free parking at multiple convenient locations.

For businesses, onsite group training is a cost-effective option, and discounts often apply for bulk bookings. Investing in first aid training improves workplace safety and productivity—so it’s worth every dollar!

HOW LONG DOES A FIRST AID COURSE TAKE?

The time required depends on the format you choose:

Enhanced Online Learning (most popular): Complete the online module at your own pace, then attend a 2.15-hour in-person assessment.

Full face-to-face training: A 7.5-hour classroom session covering all theoretical and practical components.

The Enhanced Online Learning option is ideal for those who prefer a flexible learning approach, while the face-to-face session suits those who aren’t tech-savvy.
